Refurbishing and Reusing

The EPA reports, roughly 2.25 million tons of used and unwanted
electronics are wasted each year, 18% is collected for recycling and roughly 82% winds up in landfills.

These statistics are staggering, and just imagine how much higher they are in 2011.  So many individuals and companies do not utilize the eco-friendly methods of disposal — not to mention tax breaks for donating equipment to those less fortunate.

Donations of computer equipment to Tomorrow's Children offers two very important benefits.  One, it helps in the reduction of the "digital divide" by enabling equal access to technology to needy children throughout our community.    Two, you are recycling and reusing the technology helping the environment.

The project is very new, so we are accepting volunteers to help us find donations with local business who seek a tax write off to dispose of their old and outdated equipment.  In addition, we seek qualified technology experts who can help us with the repairs needed to update any of the donated equipment.
